Industrial Designer

Misfit is looking for a talented and passionate Industrial Designer to join our team of designers and technologists. As a Misfit Industrial Designer, you have your finger on the pulse of culture and fashion. You’ll design amazing new products that push the limits of technology. Your empathy and love for users will show in every product Misfit develops.

• Sketch, prototype and model amazing new devices using the latest technology available
• Design at the intersection of devices and software
• Work with factories overseas - pushing the limits of modern manufacturing
• Work closely with Product, Design, Mechanical & Hardware teams
• Design/Conduct Human factors & preference research studies
• Devices, manuals, packaging - you’ll design it all
• Assist in recruiting additional team members.

• 1-5 Years Experience in a consultancy or tech company
• You’re a Solidworks master, and can make beautiful renderings in Keyshot, Maya, Mental Ray etc.
• You can draw. Well. You can render in Sketchbook Pro or Photoshop
• Collaborative - you love a good crit and can lead brainstorms & discussions
• You’re a self starter, able to break down a complex problem and design a variety of solutions
• Great interpersonal skills - you’re passionate, opinionated, and respectful
• You love and understand global trends, tech and fashion
• You have amazing communication skills, are fluent in English, and love telling a good story
• You have empathy and a genuine interest in people
• You understand that good enough is never enough, but not in time is worse.

• Previous experience in wearables
