Summary
Symphony is looking for an experienced leader to run our HR & Staffing functions. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (CPO) and based in our fast-paced Palo Alto office, this role is responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical programs that support business and employee growth on a global scale. The Director will provide proactive support, direction and advice to employees and managers around programs, processes, hiring and development.
Responsibilities
* Bring best practices and external perspectives to strategic and operational business discussions and decision-making; think holistically at all times to ensure a global approach to hiring and retention. * Partner with leaders to organize the delivery and implementation of core HR & Staffing programs and processes that align with business strategy. * Analyze trends and metrics in the development of solutions, programs and policies; effective management and use of resources and budget. * Establish and maintain talent market expertise, including: comprehensive view of industry trends and competitors, market insights, talent landscape; understand and share Symphony’s story in an influential way, and update programs and processes to remain competitive in the space. * Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to frontline employees, managers, execs, etc; collaborate with leaders to develop strategies/recommendations to improve employee engagement, career growth opportunities, team building, cross-functional partnerships, knowledge sharing, retention and accountability. * Influence and support Symphony’s culture, and find ways to further champion and instill company values. * Improve interview processes and candidate experience while introducing new and creative hiring strategies. * Develop, coach and guide the HR and Staffing teams; source and share learning and growth opportunities for team members, and ensure efforts align with business needs at all times. * Translate employee needs into short and long-term plans; work within HR, Staffing and t

The ideal candidate will have a “roll-up-the-sleeves” attitude and be a team player who will guide Symphony through its progression. This is a great opportunity to join a high-growth, global company as well as apply HR & Staffing expertise. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree with 10+ yrs in the field with relevant business partnership experience. * Demonstrated success in both startup environments and tech organizations, developing innovative solutions to solve business issues. * Able to work beyond the typical 9-to-5 and to flex schedule to align with business needs. * Experience in growing global business * Positive reputation for working effectively across all levels of an organization. * Detail-oriented, with proven ability to function well in ambiguous situations and unstructured environments, recognizing when it is appropriate to introduce more structure and process without derailing current plans. * Possess strong influencing and interpersonal skills, along with demonstrated ability to anticipate client needs then make actionable recommendations. * Demonstrated agility in a constantly changing environment and ability to cultivate strong relationships globally. * Team player with strong leadership, communication and coaching skills; demonstrated ability to translate business acumen to HR and Staffing strategies. * Significant experience partnering with senior leaders, developing teams and working in growing, complex organizations. **Desired Skills** * Experience working with Greenhouse (ATS) * Knowledge of Google Applications, various HR information and payroll systems
