Summary
This position is responsible for providing support to Schindler Quality Department, with the comprehensive use of statistical tools, and analysis of our data base systems, and collecting information directly from our Field Customer & Factories. The Quality Analyst is responsible for reading/listening/understanding/analyzing our Field Claims, CQRs, and other quality related issues, and support the operations in finding solutions. The Quality Analyst is accountable for collecting, coordinating, evaluating, and providing data driven conclusions/reporting, & feedback to the Leadership & Operations.
Responsibilities
* Understand and improve the key success metrics associated with the quality @ Operations, Field NI (New Installation), Maintenance, & Modernization execution efficiencies, and specially the reduction of Claims and CQR’s. These include but are not limited to, achieving monthly monitor targets as a team effort, improving customer satisfaction scores and trends, provide and track actionable feedback to the leadership team. * The Quality Analyst should gather information, observe the process and participate in efforts to constantly look for opportunities to improve current process quality processes and communicate ideas for improvement to the Operations and the leadership team on a regular basis. * Deliver accurate and consistent high quality data. Respond to all internal customer requests in a timely manner. Maintain a positive, respectful and caring attitude when working with others. Communicate problems clearly. Proactively share all issues with the leadership team. Take personal responsibility for understanding, solving issues, and finding solutions. * Evaluate reliability of information source, through Field customer calls, to understand the Claim/CQR, listens, adjusts, & weighs raw data, and organizes results/reports, and actions. * Develop data collection methods and produce clear/concise reports documenting methodology and interpretation of data. * Presents data driven numerical information, graphs, charts, tables, written reports, with objectively data collection. In understanding the issues, the Quality Analyst will interact directly with the Field customer, Factory, Supply Chain (Vendors), and Engineering (Application and R&D). * Develop, test, and maintain quality internal statistical tools, action-logs (PDCA style), necessary to measure the efficiency & efficacy of the actions implemented @ Operations to solve the Claims & CQRs. * Supports the investigation process directly with the operations on RRCA (Relentless Root Cause Analysis) process with the operations, and support develop PDCA (Plan-Do-Act-Check) activities. * Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards for processes and product. * Self motivated and ability to work independently to accomplish goals and tasks * Pro-actively look for new advancements in technology for Quality strategies and techniques, to ensure the function delivers “Best in Class” solutions to the business
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * 5-10 years experience in the area of elevator Field Operations, New Installation or Existing Installation, and/or Engineering. Understands/knowledge on Elevator industry product, field language, and installation processes. **Additional Qualifications:** * Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred. * Knowledge of elevator products, norms, and codes. * Knowledge on Six-Sigma or equivalent, specifically knowledge on Lean Process Improvement, 5S, Pareto principle/analysis, RRCA, Fishbone diagram, 5x Why’s, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, and PDCA activities preferred. * MS-Office proficiency, particularly data management on large files
