Responsibilities
* Generate Product Qualification plans based on the physics of failure approach and with an understanding of the functioning of the product in product application. List all the stress testing required to establish the lifetime of the product. Also, develop new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products. * Co-ordinate all the logistic in preparing samples, allocating test time, reviewing the test data and initiating and coordinating the failure analysis process. Manage and report on schedules for qualification testing of products. * Monitor the interim qualification status. Review and understand the reliability test results and work closely with the FA to understand the failures (if any). Analyze the failures against the stress objective, make appropriate engineering judgment and decisions based on data, and prepare a justification either to pass or fail the qualification. Drive actions, pursue root cause(s) analysis for real failures and implement corrective and preventive actions. Generate Product Qualification reports. * Work in an environment that includes various engineering disciplines such as design, GaAs and Si process, wafer fabrication, semiconductor packaging/assembly at various sites, and play a key role in product development process. * Demonstrate strength in technical and analytical problem solving. * Maintain Qualification database.
Ideal Candidate
* Education: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering. Masters in Electrical Engineering preferred. * 5 years in semiconductor industry * Experience with product reliability of semiconductor ICs * Experience with 5 why-s, root cause analysis, and permanently fixing quality and/or reliability issues * Knowledge of RF design and testing, wafer fabrication processes, assembly processes, semiconductor device physics, failure analysis of ICs, 8D methodology, structural problem solving and statistical analysis, physics of failure. * Strong analytical skills. Proficient in comprehensive numerical and graphical data analysis using excel and other software tools. * Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills, team work. * Must be able to successfully handle multiple high priority projects and deliver results * Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point * Project management experience preferred.
