Manufacturing Electrical Engineer

Manufacturer is seeking a manufacturing electrical engineer to join their engineering team. Enjoys making electrical improvements on the manufacturing floor. Has a strong background in electrical project management. An excellent electrical troubleshooter and enjoys spending up to 50% of your day on the manufacturing floor.

* Directing, managing and leading electrical projects, including cost justifications, timelines and budgets * Making process improvements to the electrical manufacturing process * Supporting manufacturing and assisting with electrical troubleshooting, including HMIs, circuits, relays, motor starters, drives and cameras * Programming and troubleshooting PLCs * Completing data collection * Reading and creating electrical schematics * Determining root cause analysis and creating countermeasures * Partnering with plant team to meet engineering goals and improve production KPIs * Communicating with external vendors as needed * Other tasks assigned by the director of operations

Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, have excellent project management skills and enjoy being on the manufacturing floor up to 40-50% of the day. **Requirements** * A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred * A minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in a similar manufacturing electrical engineering role * Experience making process improvements to the manufacturing process * The ability to read and create electrical schematics * PLC troubleshooting * Experience with 480 volt * Experience with frequency drives, relay logic and electrical circuits * Microsoft Office **Skills preferred but NOT required:** * Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies * Experience with substations and vision systems * Experience with networking and Ethernet * ERP and/or MRP * Microsoft Project Candidates are preferred to be local to the Fremont, Ohio area.
