Summary
Sailthru is the leading provider of marketing personalization software for the world’s top retail and media brands. As of October 2015, Sailthru is powering Personalization Engine, providing brands the first true solution for coordinating personalized customer experiences across the three most valuable digital channels: email, website, and mobile. Personalization Engine extends Sailthru’s expertise in data driven, personalized marketing to the website experiences. The Personalization Engine Sales Director will possess advanced knowledge of Sailthru’s personalization software solutions and will participate in all sales training, strategy and enablement efforts as a member of the North American sales team. The PE Sales Director will sell to Sailthru’s existing customers through discovery conversations, product solution demonstrations, executive presentations and follow-up discussions to drive the sale of Sailthru’s Personalization Engine product.
Responsibilities
* Meets and exceeds quarterly and annual bookings targets * Maintains in-depth product knowledge of personalization product areas, including: * Competitive offerings * Broader platform solutions enabled by the products * Industry-specific personalization trends at SMB and Enterprise level * As a quota-carrying member of the North American sales team, this person will help to build: * portfolio of case studies on customer success strategies * portfolio of case studies on customer implementations * original sales content in partnership with marketing * ongoing communication and partnership with the product, development and customer success teams on the building and supporting the PE product * content on future product development/product roadmap * Educates overall sales and product team on competitive product landscape * Provides accurate and weekly forecast of opportunities * Drives team sales by hosting Sailthru executive level sales resources with prospective key decision makers * Establishes and maintains a high sales call volume with Director, Vice President and C level executives * Creates, presents and delivers prospect presentations as required * Responds to tenders, RFI’s, RFP’s, proposals with respect to product/solution information * Maintains knowledge of all relevant competitive products in the marketplace
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of %100+ quota achievement selling digital marketing solutions to marketers, particularly focused on onsite solutions * Product marketing orientation; success acting as an evangelist and educator on a new product * Proven track record of fostering customer relationships over a sustained time period * Proven track record of driving excellent expansion/upsell business with existing customers * Demonstrated leadership abilities and superior presentation skills * Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and disseminate knowledge throughout a team/organization. * Ability to develop compelling business cases, with clearly articulated benefits, measurable metrics and ROI * Excellent core sales skills
