Summary
The National Sales Manager of Institutional Sales is responsible for creating and implementing the sales strategy that drives double-digit growth with for-profit colleges and universities, and also within traditional non-profit colleges and universities that are exploring institutional sales pricing models. The National Sales Manager hires, trains, coaches, and manages a team of three Institutional Sales Managers. We work creatively with our key institutional accounts to provide new services and products to meet their strategic initiatives. The NSM travels extensively to assist with presentations to existing key accounts and to entice new accounts to increase their business with SAGE. The NSM plays a pivotal role in working with all internal stakeholders in developing product and service solutions in this marketpspace.

Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree required * 6+ years sales experience required, extensive experience within a publishing company within the for-profit university and college space * 3+ years successful sales experience with consistent goal achievement in a managerial capacity in higher education publishing is required. Previous experience working with remote and office based staff is preferred. * Proven track record of success in hiring, on-boarding and training of new employees. * Well developed analytical skills. Able to manipulate data, analyze trends, evaluate opportuties and formulate sales strategies. * Abilty to travel 50% of the time * Strong preference for a candidate who will work out of the Thousand Oaks, CA office, but will consider remote candidates who are willing to travel to the Thousand Oaks office as needed or minimally 4 times per year.
