Summary
The QA Engineer will be responsible for testing and improving software quality throughout the software’s full life-cycle. This includes, but is not limited to developing, publishing, and implementing test plans for internal applications. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be part of a broader IT team that includes Software Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Assurance Engineers.
Responsibilities
* Working with enterprise software development projects * Working with stakeholders to understand business objects, evaluate deliverables against requirements and develop test plans that replicate complex real-world situations within the eProcurement industry * Will be embedded in an agile team working with software developers and operations that build innovative web-Based eCommerce applications * Lead the application support team & assist with solving issues reported via the application support ticketing system; and automate existing test cases. * Use of SQL to test custom built software applications to ensure bug fixes & new features work per specifications
Ideal Candidate
* BS in Computer Science or another analytical field * Minimum of 4 years of experience in a QA Engineering/Analyst role * Well-versed in QA automation techniques and tools, from planning to implementation * Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL * Experience testing web-based applications in a high-availability, high performance and large scale environment * Experience with usability and accessibility testing. * Performance testing and ERP testing experience preferred * Familiarity with Selenium or other open source testing tools * Working expertise within a Windows and Linux environment. * Experience testing e-commerce applications * Experience with Agile practices and methodologies * Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team. * Excellent leadership skills * Strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple test executions while delivering results in a timely manner * Strong sense of ownership, customer focus and ability to dive deep into details * Creativity and initiative in improving test coverage and effectiveness * Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed. * Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments.
