Summary
We are currently seeking a Senior Brand Strategy Manager for the Reebok brand. This person manages priority projects to help drive to successful global growth of the Reebok brand. Overall duties include the analysis, planning and implementation of strategic projects necessary to advance the company’s mission & objectives.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with General Manager (GM) of a category to help drive and implement a rigorous and comprehensive global strategy development and planning process that drives long-term growth for the category. * Play a key role in the development, monitoring, and regular review of business objectives, strategies, and action plans to achieve business goals within defined area of responsibility. * Work closely with VP of Strategy and the GM to perform detailed evaluations of strategic priority areas including trends, needs, capabilities, assets, and competitive realities to identify unique market opportunities and threats, and to incorporate these into relevant and compelling actionable business cases. * Collaborate with the management team and cross functional leaders to assess and continuously improve the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the sustainable growth objectives of our organization. Ensure that the measurement and effectiveness of all relevant internal and external processes is designed into the processes. * Provide strategic input and support on the evaluation of potential alliances/ partnerships and/or other similar issues /opportunities affecting the business. Stay abreast of long-range economic trends and projects company prospects for future growth in overall sales and market share and opportunities for expansion into new product areas. * Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to a wide variety of business challenges including distribution, cost, revenue, technology, and structural challenges. * Demonstrate effective use of best practices related to analysis, fact-based decision making, process orientation, process re-engineering and/or design, use of PC-based office tools, effective meeting management and project management.
Ideal Candidate
* **Strategic Thinking:** Proven experience with strategic business frameworks and financial modelling to support strategic decision making. Must possess outstanding strategic and analytical skills; superb business judgment and persuasive skills; the ability to quickly grasp information. Track record of anticipating potential problems and successfully addressing/resolving them. * **Project Management:** Strong meeting management, troubleshooting, delegation, and negotiation skills. A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. An extremely well organized and self-directed individual who is "politically savvy" and a team player. * **Cultural & Business Savvy:** Capacity to work effectively with a wide range of people, build relationships, be diplomatic, and exhibit sensitivity to and understanding of the dynamics of a complex organization. An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills. A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor. * **Communications:** Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must posses the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Must be able to clearly articulate complex content to diverse stakeholders and be persuasive in communicating the organization’s messages in a variety of settings including one-on-one communications, team settings and large audiences. * **Influencing Skills:** Must posses a track record which demonstrates the ability to influence others using a variety of situational appropriate techniques including persuasion, negotiation, involvement, etc. Able to synthesize complex and diverse data to formulate actionable business cases and recommendations. Able to influence others regardless of reporting relationships. Able to lead the development and negotiation of contracts. * **Results Orientation:** Develops strategies to translate the company vision and strategy into division/department–specific goals and business plans to ensure consistent implementation of strategies and business plans through ongoing controlling and monitors performance and results. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree (MBA/advance degree preferred): Business, Finance, Economics, or the equivalent experience. * 8+ years of work experience in management consulting, strategic planning, consumer goods, business development or related fields with strong brand equity, international exposure, wholesale and retail channels. * Strong passion for and knowledge of organizational process / capability and organizational
