The integration between Fiat and Chrysler dates back to 2009 after Chrysler filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization on 30 April 2009. On 10 June 2009, Chrysler emerged from the bankruptcy proceedings with the United Auto Workers pension fund, Fiat, and the U.S. and Canadian governments as principal owners.

Summary

The Supplier Capacity Management Specialist is responsible for resolving component capacity shortages to reduce the risk of production shortfalls at assembly plants.

Responsibilities
  • This position requires strong strategic thinking and leadership skills to address capacity issues and implement resolutions.
  • Competency in many systems and interacting across several different functional areas will be required.
  • This includes internal areas such as Purchasing, Supplier Delivery Risk Management, Supplier Quality, Product Planning, Logistics, Global Convergence and Engineering, as well as working closely with external suppliers.
  • Leading cross functional projects and managing business case solutions will be required to resolve current issues and to proactively identify potential opportunities.
  • Creation and execution of risk mitigation activities using strong logic and problem solving skills will also be expected.
  • This position resides under Component Capacity Management & Production Scheduling.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong Microsoft Office/Excel skills
  • 3+ years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, analytical ability and presentation skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Strong project management skills
