Summary

Rain Bird seeks a results-driven Business Development Executive to implement strategies for profitable product sales and market share growth for a new business.

Responsibilities
  • Create, establish and grow new business opportunities for Rain Bird. Drive profitable sales growth as well as market and Channel development.

  • Implementing business development strategies that result in establishing and growing a new business for Rain Bird

  • Have full P&L responsibility for the newly created businesses
  • Development of the Channel to ensure success of the newly created businesses
  • Development of the capabilities needed to pursue these business opportunities, including acquisition of new products and businesses
  • Working across Business Units to ensure offering Rain Bird customers complete solutions
  • Hiring and developing staff, including justification of new positions
Ideal Candidate

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or a technical discipline
  • Ten or more years of proven track record in building new businesses
  • General management experience
  • Experience in completing successful acquisitions and integrations
  • Technical sales management experience
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • An aptitude for quantitative analysis, strategic and tactical thinking, and detailed planning
  • Channel and market development experience in industrial markets

Desired Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree in business or a technical discipline
  • Experience in wholesale distribution or business-to-business marketing
  • Irrigation/water-related business experience
  • International experience
