Summary
Coach direct reports (Area Sales Managers) to develop management skill sets which position them for professional career growth at James Hardie while developing and implementing market-based sales strategies which deliver profitable market share growth across geography that meets or exceeds target.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop and retain sales organization - Develop and implement market-based strategies which delivers profitable market share growth - Accountable for leading team to deliver primary demand growth volume across geography **Competencies** - Build and lead effective team - Initiate change and scale best practices across organization - Drive the desired result - Organizational effectiveness and collaboration - Strong decision making ability - Perform metrics based analysis - Change management - Resource allocation and management – time, personnel, budget - Leadership capabilities - Be the face of James Hardie with customers and employees - Operate with a great sense of urgency - Develop sales forecasts that can be relied upon for demand planning - Comprehension of Company’s overall business objectives and connectivity between regional sales team and broader Interiors business and James Hardie business.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree desired. - 5-10 years of business-to-business outside sales experience. - Experience managing sales managers. - Experience running a large territory with profit and loss responsibility. - Ability to travel 50% - Experience utilizing formal sales process to drive results - Experience with CRM program (Salesforce preferred) - Operate with a great sense of urgency - Facilitate and lead quarterly market reviews with sales management and senior management - Exceptional communication abilities - Intermediate capabilities to utilize computer software as a business tool (Microsoft suite, etc…) - Project management process (preferred)
