Summary
The role’s primary focus is assisting the Human Resources department to maintain its operational processes. The position reports into the US Human Resources Manager. The role will suit an individual who is committed to and enjoys performing various Human Resources functions.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for maintenance of paper and electronic HR related documents in accordance with records management policy. * Ensure I-9 records are accurate and continuously update employment eligible information for current and terminated employees using the E-Verify system. * Responsible for data entry into ADP Workforce Now for all US employees and maintain high quality data integrity to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, payroll audits, and government compliance. * Administrate the background check process from start until finish * Facilitate and conduct New Hire Orientation for new hires or transfers in coordination with corporate on-boarding * Responsible for the on-boarding process for new contractors, and maintain the database to renew contractors * Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. * Conducts audits of payroll, benefits and other HR programs and recommends corrective action * Maintain and ensure the Human Resources Procedures Manual is up to date at all times * Assists with the termination process, including but not limited to scheduling exit interviews, sending exit packages and arranging equipment return * Assists with the preparation of the performance review process * Prepare headcount report on a weekly basis * Assisting in preparation of special company events * Work closely with the Payroll department to process semi-monthly payroll by accurately and timely updating HRIS with employee information and/or changes. * Responsible for completing employment verification requests * Maintenance of filing systems and paperwork archiving * Back-up all administration/receptionist when necessary * Other tasks as needed
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has a minimum of two (2) years experience in Human Resources, who is extremely well organized and driven, yet relaxed. Focused but flexible who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Must be diligent in follow through and incredibly detail-oriented. Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Experience in a corporate environment needed. **Qualifications:** * 2+ years of work experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking work environment within an HR department * BA in Human Resources or related field, a plus * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications * Strong ability to multi-task, self-manage with excellent organizational skills * Must be very detail-oriented * Database or HRIS experience strongly preferred * Demonstrated understanding and application of HR best practices * Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
