Summary
Are you ready to take video game testing into the 21st century?! Then we want you! We are looking for a Manager of Test Services to join our San Diego Worldwide Studios (WWS) Quality Assurance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a super innovative group of Quality Assurance experts and to partner with our game studios to provide world-class QA services. As a key member of the World Wide Studios Quality Assurance Operations team, you will play a critical role, as the service owner and account manager of regional and global functions. You will be accountable for maintaining outstanding relationships with WWS studios and other internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the global services provided by the assigned global staff meet their requirements. You will collaborate and coordinate with peers and senior management to ensure operations are aligned with the global mission, values and long-term strategic organization goals as well as ensuring continued service improvements are implemented.
Responsibilities
Service Management, Leadership & Staff Development and QA Operational Management. You will build and maintain relationships with WWS customers to ensure thorough understanding of service requirements and anticipate future needs. In addition, you will maintain leadership and management skills by attending workshops/training, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and other learning opportunities as they arise. Lastly, you will provide leadership to the QA teams to successfully test multiple gaming business models using multiple development methodologies.
Ideal Candidate
* At least 1 year in a management role * Software development (SDLC) practices & nomenclature * Experience leading and managing global teams and projects * Experience with budgetary oversight and planning * Deep understanding of quality assurance techniques, frameworks and methodologies * Interactive media/games industry experience **Desirable** * Cross-cultural/global working experience * Working within a matrix structure * Utilizing off-shore and/or supplier based personnel resources * Testing as a Service Management and/or Operational Experience * Project management certification (PMP, etcZ) * ITIL Foundation certification (or higher) * Continuous Service Improvement certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, ITIL CSI)
