We push the boundaries of how to use these tools to deliver a revolutionary new approach for data analytics within our emerging cloud-delivered frameworks” ~ Hiring Team The Technology Operations department is responsible for global oversight of production systems, including data-centers, helpdesk & support tiers and technical services (servers, storage, and network) that operate within this environment. Customer demand management features as an input into strategic planning. We manage provision and support FICO's server/cloud environments. Virtualization software includes VMWare and OpenShift. Guest operating systems include Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Edition, and Sun Solaris. As part of a larger Infrastructure Operations team, the Cloud Systems and Servers group is responsible for all server and cloud infrastructure, dedicated servers, guest operating systems, and common services, such as LDAP, DNS, and Active Directory.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to the Server Ops team. * Maintain and deploy systems and services within our virtual and cloud enterprise. * Lead projects pertaining to deployment and management of cloud solutions and guest server systems as a primary technical representative. * Manage server security remediation activities which will include conducting vulnerability scans and patching. * Design, develop, and deploy automation/script processes to streamline team workflows. * Lead team to resolve Incidents and fulfill Service Requests using a service management ticket queue and Change Management processes. * Work closely with FICO infrastructure, DevOps, and development engineering teams, as well as software and hardware vendors. * Mentor engineers and manage the local escalation for support, including development of ‘lunch and learn’ programs. * Create policy, process and procedure documentation to support systems implementations, projects and routine operational tasks. * Coordinates technical support with vendors when necessary. * Facilitates rapid and effective resolution of issues and requests. * Manage an on-call rotation schedule with teammates to provide 24/7 systems support * Provides technical leadership on all projects from inception to deployment
Ideal Candidate
* 10+ years of experience as an Engineer with concentration around servers, storage and networking. * 5+ years of team management experience in an IT organization. * Hands-on administrative management experience supporting Windows or Linux systems. * Hands-on administrative management experience supporting VMware hypervisor systems; ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, Site Recovery Manager, etc. * Knowledge of industry security principles and server vulnerability remediation practices. * Experience using Satellite/Spacewalk and/or WSUS/SCCM to develop and manage server patching and vulnerability response. * Knowledge of one of the scripting/programming languages – Shell, Java, Perl, Python, Ruby, Powershell. * Experience providing technical leadership to junior engineers. * Multi-task multiple projects at one time as well as work in a high-pressured, unstructured, and yet customer-oriented environment. * Experience documenting technical processes and workflows; policy, process, procedures, run-books. * Experience with service management ticketing system. * Experience in a 24/7 Technology Operations environment (on-call). * Proven history of incident response, diagnostic activities, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action Plans, and advanced troubleshooting. * Demonstrate senior level technical infrastructure and architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA and development infrastructures running in 24x7 environments. * Preferred Experience * Working knowledge in Cisco networking technology, including Nexus switching, IOS switches, firewalls and ASAs. * Cisco server systems, such as Cisco Unified Computing Services, including B-series and C-series server systems and 6200 fabric switches. * Experience with EMC systems, including VNX and VMAX3 * Storage, networking, security, Citrix, and cloud certifications highly valued * Familiarity with container configuration (Docker, Rocket, etc.) * Experience with capacity planning and monitoring within VMware infrastructure * Experience with fiber channel fabrics * ITIL Certification * OpenShift Experience * Qualys Vulnerability management software
