Senior Director, IT

Outbrain is looking for an experienced, service oriented Senior IT Director who will lead and scale our global IT teams. This role will be focused on addressing challenges such as optimizing team efficiencies as we grow and scale, automation, and evaluating and adopting new technologies. As a manager of a globally dispersed team, you'll work closely with the entire team of system administrators and IT engineers to enhance skills and capabilities in a dynamic and fast growing environment, ensuring that a proactive, service oriented approach to user experience is reflected.

**Management.** * Manage a growing team of systems administrators with a physical presence in NYC, London, and Israel, as well as coverage in multiple global regions. **Strategy.** * Build IT strategy and associated goals with supportive work plans. * Standardize technologies globally, setting and implementing policies and processes. * Align IT efforts with quantifiable improvement metrics and overall company strategy. **Continuous Improvement.** * Provide ongoing support and continual improvement for an international corporate IT environment that incorporates a highly-mobile workforce with multiple datacenter-based and cloud-based applications. **Generalist IT Efforts.** * Own the IT project portfolio and coordinate collaborative efforts with other departments. * Develop, advocate for, and track the IT OpEx and CapEx budgets. * Lead product evaluations, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with a broad range of IT vendors. * Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. **Cross-functional Collaboration.** * Operate a service organization where the team is accountable for service delivery to internal customers. * Build positive relationships with the Executive team, department directors & managers. * Work with representatives of other departments to define business requirements and negotiate priorities for IT projects.

* 8+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology – preferably in a variety of roles and organizations. * 5+ years of experience leading technical implementation and support teams. * An independent drive: If you don’t know how to do something, you consider it a challenge to try and find out for yourself * A deep understanding and implementation of IT frameworks (ITIL, ISO, Lean). * An innovative mindset and love of all things tech. * A strong knowledge of LAN/WAN IP networking and routing, configuration management, server virtualization, endpoint automation, IT security technologies, and data management. * Experience building highly-available high-performance corporate networks for VoIP and videoconferencing. * Fluency in one or more IT-relevant software development languages. * Familiarity with managing multiple SaaS productivity systems such as Google Apps, Office 365, Box, Salesforce and DocuSign. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Understanding of management accounting principles. **Bonus Requirements:** * Certification and/or training in the ITIL 2011 standard. * Certification and/or training in project management. * Experience leading Agile software development efforts. * Experience in managing global teams. * Experience in deploying and adopting service management/asset management/knowledge management solutions * Development and scripting experience * MBA or equivalent business management experience. * Experience managing process and controls in a highly-regulated (Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, ISO, PCI-DSS, etc.) environment.
