Excellent Cost Accounting Job in Rockland County, NY is looking for a candidate to join their team. Ideal candidate will have experience with monitoring and updating standard costs in the bill of materials, and be able to review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies. Company offers competitive compensation, and is looking for a Direct Hire candidate.

* Monitor and update standard costs in the bill of materials * Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies * Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close * Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles * Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor

* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required * Excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principals * Sense of urgency and ability to manage competing priorities
