Summary
Global Financial Services Transaction Accounting. Responsible for all the financial, reporting and control aspects of large population of US region special purpose entities created for specific businesses, as well complex transaction accounting and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Strategy and Architecture team for testing the target architecture (Functional, Application, Data and business process) for specific product and system platform - Process testing to implement infrastructure change regarding front to back data feed - System implementation - Front to Back office system reconciliation review as a key control and review of other lifecycle related controls - Ensure that control evidence is adequately documented and filed by the various contacts in the trade cycle -> trade capture, trade settlement, bookrunning, financial reporting - Run reconciliations for MAFA, Management Accounting Financial Accounting (MIS-UBR) to identify breaks between transaction systems and general ledger - Run reconciliations and validations for Sub-ledger to GL identify and clear - Run reconciliations and validations for General Ledger to Finance Data Warehouse(Regulatory reporting tool) to identify and resolve breaks - Reconcile ledger p&l (income statement) to bookrunner p&l. - Intercompany reconciliations. - Upload manual journal entries and adjustments/ Booking General Ledger entries - Support process of daily and month end control processes - Production and Documentation of Key Operating Procedures (KOP) based on infrastructure change - Standardize, update and streamline documentation and approach across the respective CB&S businesses - Balance Sheet substantiation
Ideal Candidate
- 3-7 yrs banking / accounting experience - Basic accounting knowledge (must know debits/ credits feel comfortable around these) - Accounting or Finance major with Big 5 experience preferable ( not need to be CPA) - Product experience / product knowledge preferable. - Must know investment banking FTB/ life cycle. - Able to multitask and work to tight deadlines and pressures - self starter/ pro active
