Summary
Our client is seeking to fill a Commercial Credit Analyst role located in the Minneapolis, MN market. The successful Credit Analyst candidate will be responsible for processing daily credit transactions per the credit policy and procedures; maintaining records and files on all credit transactions, including correspondence and documents. Responsibilities
* Monitoring all credit activity to ensure daily assignments have been completed such as processing adjustable rate changes, maintaining amortization factors, preparing correspondence notifications. * Processing daily credit transactions including, but not limited to: answering incoming phone calls, performing the initial credit analysis to determine if customers’ credit requests satisfy Bank policies and procedures, and preparing and processing all documentation for those credit transactions. * Providing and maintaining reporting requirements on Bank customers’ credit obligations. * Conducting the initial loan rate analysis to determine the daily loan rates that will be charged to customers. * Providing support to Bank customer and staff in explaining credit policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree preferred in finance or accounting. Three or more years of credit analysis desired. * Knowledge of banking industry practices relative to bank loan operations with respect to loan products and services. * High level of analytical ability. Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of information, as appropriate. * Practical working knowledge of financial statement analysis. * Solid Computer literacy skills (Word, Excel) with accurate data entry skills and the ability to master specific software programs used to spread financial information. * A high level of initiative, thoroughness, accuracy and organizational skills required. Detail oriented with good organizational and effective judgment skills.
