Summary

The SSC HR Intern serves as the primary resource for administrative support by assisting the SSC human resources function.

Responsibilities
  • File employee data/information in a prescribed manner, making sure that all files are complete and accurate
  • Maintain personnel, benefit, medical, and terminated files
  • Open, date stamp, and sort incoming HR mail and faxes
  • Prepare and send facility mail-outs
  • Provide phone coverage for the HR department
  • Assisting in preparing advertisements
  • Participating in job fairs, career days, and open house opportunities for applicants
  • Obtaining references and transcripts
  • Maintaining established policies, procedures, and objectives
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
  • Other duties as assigned

  • PC skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required

Education

  • High School diploma or GED is required

Experience / Qualifications

  • Undergrad college student studying Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or similar field
