The Roofing Components Marketing Lead is accountable for assisting in the development and implementation of the overall marketing strategy for Roofing Components. This includes input into the planning process, management of key initiatives and success measurement. The position reports to the Components Marketing Leader.
**Knows the Roofing Contractor and supports Sales teams** (approximate time 30%) * Collaborates with Components business and Sales teams to develop marketing strategies and key initiatives that are consistent with supporting/developing brand equity while building awareness and driving demand generation. * Analyzes market data and insights to generated business building ideas and in-year course corrections. * Partners with Components Business Development Leaders and Region Sales Leaders to develop, execute and measure local programs. **Leads Execution of Marketing Strategies** (approximate time 50%) * Further develops voice of the customer and contractor insights along with recommendations. * Leads development and execution of trade ads, promotions social marketing content, digital, video, promotions, training and trade show content. * Develops selling tools such as literature, product samples and apps consistent with portfolio and product positionings. Focus on improved and new tools that move contractors through the purchase funnel. * Develops and executes marketing plan for new product introductions. * Develops improved and new success measurement tools. Measures performance, conducts analysis and develops recommendations for improvement * Maximizes return on all marketing spending and evaluates creative new ways to enhance our position in the marketplace. * Cultivates strong relationships Sales teams to ensure successful execution. Works with Sales to elevate relationships with contractors and distributors. * Manages supplier relationship along with trafficking and timing and action of projects with agencies and vendors. **Supports Components Marketing Strategy** development (20%) * Participates in the development of the annual planning process and strategic planning; incorporating brand strategy priorities, growth projections and new product and program initiatives. * Participates in business and customer planning meetings, customer/contractor discovery meetings and industry trade shows. * Generates insights and business building ideas from a variety of sources to accomplish Components business obectives.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field. MBA preferred * 5-7 years experience in marketing or sales * Ability to travel 10-20% **Experience** * Product marketing experience * Successful experience working in a complex matrix environment * Experience in B2B and B2C * Building Materials industry experience preferred * Budget management experience **Knowledge, Skills And Abilities** * Proven ability to analyze business metrics and make recommendations to drive business results * Creative, highly motivated and results-oriented with a high energy level and passion for marketing * Shows good, independent judgment, makes decisions, and commits to a course of action with appropriate fact-based analytics * Ability to develop marketing communications materials with minimal oversight * Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to plan strategically * Ability to build networks and strong working relationships internally and externally * Ability to manage vendor and customer relationships and act as a partner for Sales teams to drive business results and gain alignment * Excellent skills in developing and presenting internal and external presentations **Leadership Capabilities** * Think Strategically, Act on Analysis, Generate Ideas * Competitively Drive Results * Follow Through on Commitments and Promises * Collaborate and Foster Teamwork, Inspire and Energize Others * Engage Self and Others in Learning
