Summary
The Project Manager (PM) is a key leadership and execution role for delivering outcomes that are aligned with the Global IS portfolio. The PM owns the overall success of IS projects and is accountable to ensure the business outcomes of the project are realized and sustainable. A successful PM provides leadership through enabling the business strategy and driving the IS principles that are core to the Global lS organization. Efficient management of resources, synchronization of PM concepts and effective communication to all stake holders are central accountabilities to this role. The PM must display leadership through coaching, mentoring and recognizing growth and development opportunities of all team members and stakeholder of all projects under their direction.
Responsibilities
* Project Leadership - Lead Global Information Systems initiatives and ensure the successful delivery of the project outcomes. * Capability Development – Develops the Project Management capability through evaluation and adoption of best practices and education to other team members. * Leading and Developing Talent – Builds solid performing project teams and works with all Leaders to develop and engage team members according to growth plans. * Manage Relationships with External Partners – Builds and grows external partners’ capacity to augment achievement of business outcomes and provide innovative solutions to drive change.
Ideal Candidate
* 7+ years of IS industry experience (work within Web environment, ERP or other large-scale manufacturing systems preferred). * 5+ years of project management experience including the management of large scale projects including initiatives with global reach, technology, processes, cross-functional teams and partner team members. * Experience working with cross-functional teams that include third party expertise. * Aptitude to build strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership. * Experience working in a PMO environment is preferred. * Training and application of industry best practice processes and tools regarding the effective management of projects, including, but not limited to, scope, schedule, cost, risk, resource, and issue management. * Effective communications – planning and execution of communications for stakeholders, both written and verbal. * Experienced with business operations; aptitude / desire to grow in the knowledge of the Owens Corning business; conveyance of business acumen to project team members. * A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. **Knowledge and Abilities:** * Triple Threat Leadership - must know the business, know technology and can lead change. * Consultative Skills - ability to influence business partners in their decision-making.
