Summary
Under general direction, performs independent, responsible and complex personnel services work in support of a college wide environment. An employee in this position coordinates Human Resources programs, processes and policies and conducts other HR generalist functions within the Human Resources Department.
Responsibilities
* In consultation with the Director of Employment has overall recruitment and initial employment responsibility for faculty, to include adjunct faculty, career-or administrative and professional positions. * Coordinate recruitment activities to include design and marketing employment opportunities; dissemination of recruitment and other employment related materials to prospective employees via electronic, social media, and print publication; conduct targeted College recruitment events; attend local, state and national recruitment events, as appropriate. * Develop and monitor internal tracking process from advertisement to selection recommendation to completed personnel file through new employee orientation and initial performance evaluation. * Develop training protocols for all screening committee chairs and ensure that screening committees properly and lawfully execute their duties and responsibilities. Collect and retain summary information for the required period of time following conclusion. * May serve as a the liaison in the coordination of the required faculty credentialing processes under the direction of the Director of Employment, undertakes problem resolution as needed, and assists in maintaining the SACS credentialing electronic databases. * Maintain employment process database, direct mall and other records associated with recruiting and employment activities for cost analysis and other purposes. * Monitor and manage assigned budges, to include grant budgets where applicable. * Oversee the maintenance of accounting records for department, i.e., billing expenditures, revenues, inventory, and payroll. * Assist supervisor as directed in performing administrative support duties to develop, analyse, and provide recommendation for budget modification, revision, etc. * Conduct new employee on-boarding processes for all classifications of employees and maintain training and development records associated with legal and procedural requirements * Perform research, special projects and prepare reports, tests, documents and related materials for the supervisor and other department personnel related to recruitment and employment. * Use knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEO and other related laws to advise and assist administrators in investigations and required reports to agencies, funders, etc. * Serve as department events coordinator for required HR activities, such as workshops, meeting etc. * Schedule and participate in meetings, conferences and related activities, as directed. * Manage the Human Resources website content and appearance sot hat information is constantly up-to-date and timely.
Ideal Candidate
* An associate's degree from an accredited college or university supplemented by three or more years of related experience. * Must have effective written and verbal communications skills * Perform research, special projects and prepare reports, tests, documents and related materials for the supervisor and other department personnel related to recruitment and employment.
