Summary
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Representative will be responsible for leading day-to-day activities of the HR function for assigned facilities and will be assigned human resources related projects of a moderate to complex nature. The Human Resources Representative applies skill in selection/retention techniques, an extensive knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, employee benefit programs and Federal and state laws regarding employment practices in order to support the organization.
Responsibilities
* Maintains current working knowledge of company policies and procedures, pay practices, employee benefits, employment laws (i.e. EEOC, AA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA) and communicates regularly with employees and management to ensure understanding and compliance. * Partners with others to develop and/or facilitate programs for managers and employees to support business objectives, corporate programs and individual development. * Assists in the development and execution of recruiting plan. Leads full cycle staffing process including applicant sourcing, recruiting, demonstrating good faith efforts in Affirmative Action, pre-employment screening, interviewing and employee onboarding. Maintains relationships with staffing agency representatives and ensures agency is meeting expectations. * Develops Human Resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information followed by recommending courses of action. * Provides guidance to managers regarding effective performance management techniques in order to improve employee retention and productivity. * Conducts internal investigations. * Proactively assists with employee engagement strategies. * Responds to unemployment agency requests and represents the company at hearings. * Administers the performance review process across the organization. * Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, identifies trends and reports to HR Manager. * Administers the open enrollment process for the benefit programs. * Creates and maintains the personnel files according to company procedure. * Trains and mentors other employees through formal and informal programs. * Collaborates with others throughout the organization to meet organization goals. * Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and confidentiality. * Performs other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Education** * Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field required **Minimum Experience** * Three (3) years experience required in human resources, generalist experience preferred **Required Skills, Abilities and / or Licensure** * A working knowledge of state and federal employment laws is required * Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required * Strong written and verbal communication skills are required * Demonstrated ability to multi-task is required * Strong organizational skills are required * Ability to work a flexible schedule is required * HRCI certification as a PHR or SPHR is preferred * Communication in multiple languages is preferred
