Summary
MarketStar has an opportunity available for a Channel Marketing Representative. This position will help the manufacturer team achieve revenue and market share goals by driving the manufacturer message down to the account representative level, as well as tracking and assisting close of opportunities across all of our Direct Market Reseller (DMR) partners. As part of the pre-sales team, the Channel Marketing Representative will act as the first point of contact for representative on manufacturer questions and opportunities. It will be the responsibility of the representative to grow and nurture relationships with brand partners. Additional responsibilities will be to provide training to DMR partners. The trainings will include phone trainings, on-site trainings, 1:1 trainings as well as tabletop/vendor fair type activities.
Responsibilities
* Provide answers to pre-sales technical questions for distribution account managers and customers * Stimulate reps to quote the manufacturer more frequently * Promote the use of manufacturer and distribution tools, including online training, bid desk, trade-in programs, value-add promotions and other sales incentive programs * Provide regular feedback on effectiveness of tools * Submit monthly reports on the state of the business * Conduct trainings for reps on manufacturer product * Assist team in conducting manufacturer events, floor days and table tops * Create fliers to promote offers and initiatives * Increase overall manufacturer brand awareness
Ideal Candidate
* College degree in business administration or related field preferred * Three or more years of Business to Business, Channel or IT sales experience * One or more years’ experience in technology with strong knowledge of software and hardware components * Six or more months’ experience conducting small group presentations or training * Polished presentation skills with both large and small audiences * Strong technical aptitude * Experience with strategic and tactical planning by account needed * Sales and training experience within the 1st and 2nd tier Reseller Channel preferred * Strong verbal and written communication abilities * Must be available to travel up to 25%
