Associate, Client Administration

(Portland, Oregon)M Financial was established with a new distribution network of entrepreneurial Member Firms. Working together with select carriers, we created better products for affluent clients and distributed them through this exclusive network of Member Firms.
- The Associate, Client Administration, will be responsible for understanding a wide variety of activities associated with administering nonqualified benefit plans and life insurance and other asset reporting. They will interact with clients on a routine basis, managing client requests and inquiries, and tracking and updating the master workflow calendar.
- The successful candidate will prepare benefit statements and cash value reports based on established standards and within compliance guidelines and monitor and prepare billing and invoice statements as required.
- This person must effectively respond to client questions on benefit and life insurance issues, concepts, and data analysis as well as research and develop an understanding of M Benefit Solutions’ plan design approach and position on benefits and insurance related topics. They must maintain an in-depth knowledge of specific client plans and procedures and deliver exceptional administrative service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in accounting, insurance or employee benefits (banking industry experience a plus)
- Desire to become proficient in the subject matter.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with M Financial Group staff, Member Firms, Carriers and vendors
- Excellent customer service skills and experience
- Proven ability to deal with changing requirements/priorities, provide follow through, and manage multiple projects
- Ability to maintain sensitivity and awareness of confidentiality, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as a member of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed computer skills including proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Access
- Insurance license and/or Series 6 license required (any licenses not currently held will need to be obtained within 12 months of employment)
