Summary
We are looking for a top notch team player to join the Credit Karma Finance department who will be responsible for day to day payroll operations. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who has gotten some payroll experience under their belt and is looking to gain more exposure in the field or a Client Service Rep at a payroll company who wants to transition to the client side. Responsibilities
* Preparation and processing of multi-state semi-monthly payroll for 450+ exempt and non-exempt employees. * Calculate and distribute of manually generated termination payroll checks. * Processing of employees changes in ADP Workforce Now which includes salary increases, tax changes, banking details, department allocations and garnishments. * Respond to internal employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner and oversee the payroll email inbox. * Assist with providing relevant payroll related reporting to various managers company-wide. Prepare annual worker’s compensation report for audit and forecast payroll. * Manage ADP Time & Attendance time sheet submissions and approvals, as well as maintaining employee and manager set-up of Time & Attendance. * Coordinate with the HR department to acquire relevant data for payroll processing including new hires, leaves of absence, manager and salary changes. * Work with the HR department to resolve discrepancies between payroll deductions and benefit information to reconcile payroll general ledger accounts. * Help provide high level review of expense reimbursements to help pinpoint any discrepancies or potential issues before processing with semi-monthly payroll. * Maintain and organize hard and soft copy payroll files. * Assist with the annual 401k and financial audits * Review quarterly payroll tax reporting and ensuring filings are handled by ADP as well as the review and distribution of annual W-2’s. * Handle light stock option administrative duties as directed by the Payroll Manager. * Perform other duties and assignments duties within the Finance department on an ad hoc basis.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate strives to perform with a high level of accuracy and would possess an exceptional ability to communicate to employees at all levels a person who likes numbers and forming solid relationships with their colleagues. * BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. * 2+ years of experience in payroll processing required. * Ability to handle shifting priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-faced work environment. * Aptitude to drill down and problem solve – you can look at an issue from various angles to figure out a solution. * Good work ethic and interpersonal skills. * Provides the high level of service to employees. * Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and private information at all times. * Strong oral, written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds. * Can learn new business systems easily and is relatively tech savvy. * Demonstrated intermediate skill level in Excel and Word required. Experience with Netsuite and HRIS systems is a plus. * ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
