Responsibilities
* Responsible for routine service, which includes the preparation of monthly experience reporting, standard mid-year analysis, development and execution of service schedule, standard annual management report * Meets with clients alone or in conjunction with Account Executive, Unit Manager or Department Head according to standardized client meeting schedule and as needed. * Coordinate client mid-year/renewals by the following: ensure complete execution of mid-year/renewal checklist; prepare renewal report for Account Executive/Unit Manager/Dept. Head review; Preparation of employee communication materials as needed; schedule and conduct employee meetings if necessary. * Conduct all marketing efforts as assigned by unit, which includes: ensure complete execution of marketing checklist; development of Request for Proposal (RFP); coordinate vendor responses and follow-up; analysis and comparison of proposals; preparation of client report with recommendation for Account Executive/Unit Manager/Department Head review * Handle new carrier and plan implementation and transition by the following: ensure complete execution of implementation checklist; preparation of implementations schedule; coordinate preparation and delivery of employee communication materials utilizing carrier and client information; schedule and participate in enrollment meetings. * Review of all agreements and/or documents (employee booklets, carrier contracts, etc.) * Review annual commission/fee reconciliation and prepare reporting for Account Executive/Unit Manager/Department Head * Practice proactive follow-up on all outstanding issues by communicating status of each to Account Executive/Unit Manager/Department Head * Prepare monthly service reports, including appropriate distribution
Ideal Candidate
* At least one to three years experience as an Account Manager in the insurance industry, specifically in employee welfare benefits area. * Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives. * Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) or similar software applications. * Demonstrated presentation skills including preparation and execution. * Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience and or work experience. * Strong project management and organizational skills. * Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to develop sound relationships with multiple clients. * Ability to interact with vendors effectively. * Good working knowledge of financial arrangements and products available to clients. * Basic working knowledge of federal and state legislation and legal issues related to the insurance industry * Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft, and stay for more than one day and night * Legal right to work in the United States
