Summary
The Membership Development Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of the plan for growth of Schwartz Center membership and be accountable for achieving membership goals. The position reports to the Director of Business Development and Operations.
Responsibilities
* With Director and Program Manager, enhance strategy for growth and plan for generating membership leads * Identify potential organizations with whom to partner to expand membership * Develop relationship with regional and/or state hospital associations, health systems and large academic medical centers * Provide targeted outreach to prospective members in New England * Generate prospects for Regional Consultants to follow up * Generate 15 - 25 membership prospects monthly throughout the US for follow up * Support six Regional Consultants to close 15 new member accounts each annually * Become a content expert and spokesperson for Schwartz Center Membership and Schwartz Center Rounds program * Present to at least 4 conferences annually – speaking engagements to educate potential members about Schwartz Center membership and SCCH innovation * Support Schwartz Center educational programs, Facilitation Workshops, Regional Meetings as needed * Lead Schwartz Center Membership Informational Webinars as needed * Assist with educational curriculum innovation
Ideal Candidate
* Experience and track record in membership development or sales preferably in healthcare * Basic knowledge of US healthcare delivery * Strong project management skills; ability to take initiative, exercise independent judgment and take tasks from start to finish. * Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks under pressure in a busy not-for-profit office. * Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented and efficient. * Strong commitment to high quality work, customer service and high productivity. * Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills: Uses sensitivity, good judgment, relationship-building skills and overall standards of excellence when communicating with fellow staff, Board members, Schwartz Center members and other stakeholders. * Strong writing and editing skills. * Excellent computer skills including firm knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet-based research. Experience with CRM software preferred. * Ability to work as part of a team. * BA/BS degree required * 5 – 7 years relevant experience
