Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, this newly created position will own responsibility for the development and delivery of modern-day talent acquisition practices for all corporate functions and the USC Region. He/she will lead the process of building strategies andimplementing standard practices to attract and on-board a high performing team members, in order to enable the organization to execute its business strategy. This role will regularly interact with key internal and external stakeholders including the executive leadership team, HR leadership team, vendors and community officials.
Responsibilities
* Implement a talent acquisition platform upon which to base all internal placement and external recruiting activity to support a business in transformation. * Personally manage a small number of key personnel requisitions, serving as the internal recruiter for these positions. * Help set the vision and strategy for talent acquisition for the business, to ensure that the talent needs of the business are met. * Evaluate key short-term and long-term workforce planning issues in order to develop plans that will ensure the organization is effectively staffed and that future staffing needs are identified and anticipated. * Champion inclusion and diversity, building diversity sourcing practices and targeted goals into the company’s staffing processes. * Manage all non-executive contingent and retained searches, including contract negotiation, vendor management and sourcing; manage all related budgets and budget forecasting. * Manage the relationship with Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) vendors, managing the partnership as needed. * Implement a fail safe process for capturing referral candidates from all recent hires, to identify high-performing, high potential passive candidates. * Leverage a new applicant tracking and applicant flow system, to improve the candidate experience from first contact through on-boarding and to capture metrics relating to the efficiency and effectiveness of all search activity. * Leverage the Company’s Employer Value Proposition to differentiate Libbey in the employment marketplace. * Leverage social media for searches, ensuring that leading-edge web-based tools and processes are utilized to enhance staffing effectiveness and company image in the marketplace. * Work with management to develop accurate, forward-focused success profiles; integrate company competencies for all positions under search to ensure that position specifications match strategic job needs * Implement and leverage assessment tools aligned to the company’s competency system, identifying the most cost-effective and instructive internal and/or tools are applied as appropriate. * Ensure that effective programs are in place to identify and leverage government reimbursement programs for targeted hiring; implement programs to identify and source veterans and other targeted hire groups. * Develop employment trade show marketing strategies and merchandizing to leverage job fair opportunities as appropriate. * Develop an on-campus recruiting strategy, identifying target schools for the various functions, developing strong on-campus relationships to ensure the identification of the best new talent. **Baseline Responsibilities** * Uphold and exemplify the company’s Code of Conduct. Maintain high ethical standards at all times. Ensure there are active measures to prevent fraud and promote ethical business practices with suppliers, employees, customers and government officials. * Ensure the safety and security of the Company’s intellectual property * Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with all government regulations and laws governing business operations.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources or a related degree is required. * Minimum of 5-8 years progressive experience in talent acquisition, preferably in the consumer products industry. * A proven track record in building and implementing successful recruiting strategies. * Demonstrated experience working directly with senior leadership and management building recruiting platforms and strategies, as an advisor with keen business acumen
