Summary
As our Director of High Volume Recruiting, reporting to the Business Leader of Recruiting, you will develop and execute recruiting strategies that align field talent acquisition with Progressive’s growth objectives for 300+ Field Claims Offices and 6 Customer Relationship Management Centers. The Recruiting Director leads a field recruitment team of Associate Recruiting Managers and Recruiters (Talent Advisors) who are responsible for executing selection programs and projects and developing best practices that support building a high-quality, diverse employee base so Progressive can become a Destination Insurer - the company consumers come to for all of their insurance needs.
Responsibilities
* Partnering with senior leaders within the organization to set the high volume recruiting strategic agenda and sourcing strategy for large segments of the business * Developing strong strategic relationships with senior business partners, including executives, and influencing the recruitment and staffing strategies for the business * Selecting, developing and coaching a strong recruiting management team * Directing recruiting managers/recruiters in the execution of recruiting strategies * Extensive cross-functional coordination within and outside the recruiting organization * Leading, developing and implementing enterprise-wide projects/programs * Providing ongoing analysis of business needs, recruiting processes/technologies, the labor market, viable staffing sources and overall recruiting results * Identifying opportunity areas, while informing and influencing business partners to improve results
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree * Minimum 8 years related work experience in business, recruiting or HR lead roles * 5+ years of management experience including multi-site responsibilities * Leading people managers in a matrixed, shared services model where resources are jointly managed * Mentoring and developing a professional learning organization built on skill development, innovation, expertise and results * Developing new selection approaches and concepts for high volume recruiting needs and converting them into targeted action * Implementing appropriate metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure and improve results, impact and cost-effectiveness of team * Strong critical, strategic thinking and analytical skills with the proven ability to influence and partner with senior level Field Claims and Customer Relationship Management leaders * Proven ability to hire and lead a diverse geographically spread work group * Significant process and project management experience, with strong planning, prioritization and organization skills * Applies and understands federal and state laws impacting recruitment decisions * Strong business acumen and knowledge * Heavy and welcomed overnight business travel
