Summary
The Marketing Assistant is tasked with understanding the legal market landscape, core market segments, and Law360 products and services. Under direct supervision of the Associate Director, Marketing Services, this position assists the Marketing team with prospect discovery, lead generation, research and analysis to ensure the quality, accuracy and completeness of data available for marketing programs. This includes using internal and external information sources to research and identify potential organizations and contacts to target, collecting data to support marketing initiatives across all segments, and maintaining the prospecting database.
Responsibilities
* Understand the business, research and marketing strategies and the unique differences of Law360 products and services * Prospect discovery: research information sources to expand Law360 prospect base * Identify potential organizations to market Law360 products and services (B2B) * Consult various data sources for relevant contacts at each organization * Evaluate prospective clients based on professional demographics to support direct marketing campaigns * Perform ongoing maintenance of prospecting database to ensure quality, accuracy and completeness * Assist with research, sizing and analysis of current and potential markets and products * Gather metrics to support MRA team with monitoring the progress and measuring the effectiveness of marketing programs * Contribute to other lead generation and customer acquisition activities, such as sales enablement, competitive intelligence, and trade shows and events * Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time
Ideal Candidate
* B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Business, Technology or related field * Strong working proficiency in computer applications including Google Apps and Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel skills a plus) * A minimum of 1-2 years of Marketing or Marketing Research experience * Experience with B2B marketing, prospect discovery and lead generation * Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and abilities * Strong project management skills; organized, extremely high attention to detail, able to manage multiple time-sensitive projects * Ability to demonstrate flexibility by adapting to changing needs based on business and market demands * Strong teamwork and communications skills, be able to talk and listen well * Ideal candidate is someone who has interest or experience in the legal market
