Summary
Our client is seeking an Analyst/Associate (depending on level of experience reporting to the Director. Our client provides expanded real estate capital advisory and financial brokerage services, including creative debt and equity financing, to commercial real estate owners and developers in New York City and many major MSA’s across the U.S. The client covers all commercial property types, including residential, office, hotel and mixed-use projects. Within this capacity, Greystone Bassuk specializes in structuring financing for complex real estate development transactions, with a particular focus on large-scale multifamily rental and condominium projects (generally $100 million) located in the greater New York Metropolitan Area. Greystone Bassuk is also a leader in structuring and arranging public bond financing for mixed-income multifamily properties.
Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed financial proformas for prospective real estate transactions, including: sponsorship analysis, market analysis, income and expense underwriting, real estate development budgeting, discounted cash flow modeling, capital structure analysis and sources and uses of funds schedules. * Assist in the preparation of memorandums, financing packages and other presentation materials for review with prospective clients and capital providers. * Maintain detailed project plans to track timing and deliverables for each transaction. * Input property financial and tenant information into Excel and Argus financial models. * Translate creative and complex financing solutions into financial models for presentation to clients. * Research, develop and update materials on prospective clients and transactions in target markets. * Participate in design of methodologies to better assess, evaluate, and present investment opportunities. * Research, develop and update materials on prospective clients and transactions in target markets * Participate in design of methodologies to better assess, evaluate, and present investment opportunities
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 3–5 years of prior real estate development/investment, capital markets/advisory/financial services or real estate private equity experience. * Bachelor’s degree in business, finance/accounting or economics from a top-tier accredited college or university required; M.B.A. or Master’s degree a plus. * Highly proficient in all aspects of MS Office with advanced Excel skills required. * Working knowledge of Argus a plus. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational/project-management skills. * Ability to communicate concepts and results within a team setting. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Strong time management skills and a respect for deadlines. * The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, innovative team-player who is focused on results and strives to deliver a superior work product.
