Summary
Currently we are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the Human Resources team in our Germantown, MD location to provide full life-cycle recruiting support for technical and non-technical positions in various divisions throughout the company.
Responsibilities
* Provide a consultative recruiting approach to the organizations in which you support by: * Collaborating with business leaders on recruiting strategies * Learning and thoroughly understanding the responsibilities and demands of the groups in which you support * Partnering with management to determine job requirements * Identifying and developing sourcing strategies that ensure high quality and diverse candidate pools * Build and maintain trust and credibility with your business leaders and connections both externally and internally. * Develop and maintain a network of contacts and resources to help identify and source qualified candidates. * Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to positions. * Recognize and recommend areas of improvement to processes and procedures to ensure the recruiting team is operating utilizing best possible practices * Be an EchoStar and Human Resources brand ambassador in all opportunities you have to represent the company * Travel as needed to attend informational meetings, interview sessions, and other events to increase EchoStar’s presence in the community and generate candidate interest * Be a proactive member of the Human Resources team to complete projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Experience working and recruiting in industries such as Telecom, Engineering, Consumer Electronics, etc * Solid knowledge and understanding of compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to recruiting * Proficiency of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately * Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experienced public speaker * Detail and metric oriented **Basic Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience * 5 or more years of successful full life-cycle recruitment experience to include a demonstrated ability to influence, communicate and build relationships at all levels, and to link business objectives with Talent Acquisition Strategy * 5 or more years of experience using Recruiting and HRIS systems. (BrassRing, Workday, etc)
