Summary
The HR Manager is the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to North America Adhesives leadership and a member of the management team. The HRBP will provide professional level support within and in support of the Human Resources function by assisting in a range of services to employees and management including change management, recruitment, employment, compensation, employee relations, training, and other related areas. The HRBP shares the responsibility for the Adhesives segment business goals and targets delivery.
Responsibilities
* Lead Nordson Adhesives, North America HR staff to develop, plan and implement various HR initiatives such as compensation, benefits and talent management programs. * Acts as a performance improvement driver and promotes positive changes in people management. * Develops and implements strategic recruitment programs for the manufacturing direct/ indirect positions, at the line of business level, designed to attract, develop and retain a diverse, world-class, forward thinking workforce. * Perform duties to attract, screen, recruit and select new manufacturing direct/ indirect employees. * Manages the recruitment process and sourcing strategy for all manufacturing direct/ indirect hires. * Leads the coordination for all on-boarding procedures (exempt, non-exempt). * Leads Nordson Adhesives, North America activities for year-end salary planning program; Serves as point of contact for all communications and related activities including data collection and coaching and training support to managers and supervisors. * Provides value-added consultation to managers and supervisors on employee and labor relations issues. Provides recommendations for counseling and corrective actions that support business needs while promoting a fair and positive work environment and best practices of a performance driven business culture. * Investigates formal employee complaints and recommends company’s response to employee. * Supports supervisory, management or non-technical skills training courses for internal staff. Interface with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Support corporate training initiatives and Instruct participants in group sessions. * Supports the development of HR policies and guidelines, and partner with employees and management in communicating and implementing guidelines compliance. * Serves as primary business contact and representative for unemployment claims and hearings. * Assists in planning and execution of corporate programs, initiatives, projects and other special events. * Supports best practices for HRIS/Workday data integrity. * Performs other duties as assigned.

* Talented, collaborative business partner with the ability to support and develop strong working relationships with peers and senior level members of the organization, across multi-sites, by demonstrating performance that fosters credibility and value-added results. * Strong business acumen, ability to influence employees and executives * Ability to partner with business leaders on strategic initiatives requiring employee engagement * A robust working knowledge of recruitment, compensation, talent management, and employment practices. * Cooperative, spirited team member with a strong sense of urgency and customer service orientation. * Must possess integrity, discretion and the ability to appropriately manage confidential, sensitive information, the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented business environment and a flexible professional demeanor and self-directed work approach. * Sound judgment, strong critical thinking skills and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize workload effectively. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required. * Ability to travel within US and Canada, up to 20% * Workday HRIS knowledge desirable. **Education and Experience Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required, Masters’ Degree in HR or related field preferred. * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional HR role * Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience * Human Resources Certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.) a plus * Experience in the Manufacturing industry a plus
