Summary
The HR Representative is responsible for assisting the US Human Resources team to provide first class Human Resources support to the employees and managers of InterSystems in North America.
Responsibilities
* Educate employees on available benefits plans. Provide first level support in responding to employee benefit and policy questions in a timely and confidential manner. Communicate with benefits vendors to resolve employee issues. * Conduct New Hire Orientation including benefits, and policies and procedures review. Serve as HR liaison for new hires both pre and post-hire. * Ensure that new hires complete the benefits enrollment process and all other new hire tasks in Workday HCM. * Responsible for review and approval of employee and manager transactions in Workday HCM, based on knowledge of business processes and approval levels. Work closely with managers and employees to achieve correct approvals and workflow. (Hire, Term, Change Personnel Information, Time Off Management, Compensation Management, Transfers.) * Track Contingent Workers in Workday HCM, ensure managers are following correct procedures. Audit for contract end dates. * Conduct annual Intern New Hire Orientation Program. * Keep HR intranet updated with policies and procedures, benefits information and links. * Coordinate or oversee coordination of employee events (Benefits, Wellness and other). * Create new hire offer letters. Oversee the completion and results of new hire background checks. * Work with vendors (benefits, background checks) to ensure service levels are achieved, audit data, audit integrations and results. Escalate issues as needed. * Participate in annual benefits renegotiation and renewal process with benefits broker and vendors, and annual Benefits Open Enrollment process. * Assist HR Manager and Sr. Generalist with annual worldwide compensation benchmarking process, completing job matching and job analysis activities with managers and global HR team. * Assist with immigration cases and follow up.
Ideal Candidate
* 2+ years HR experience in role responsible for benefits and policy administration. * Excellent attention to detail and follow through. * Ability to multi-task and reprioritize tasks as needed. * Customer Service oriented attitude; flexibility in a fast paced environment a must. * High degree of discretion and professionalism. * Strong organisational, interpersonal and written communication skills. * An excellent team player who can also work well independently; must be pro-active. **Education and Training:** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. * Advanced Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Minimum 2 years’ experience with HRIS system. (Workday preferred.) * PHR or other HR certification a plus.
