We seek a Billing Analyst who will have a front row seat owning the overall process of recovering hard cash. It all starts with flagging the overcharged bookings, working with hotel partners to recover the overcharged amounts, managing a supporting offshore team, tracking status, building metrics and working cross functionally to proactively reduce overcharges. Maintaining, optimizing and scaling is the name of the game!
- Identify overcharges and initiate refund requests to hotel partners
- Maintain master schedule and overcharge tracking tool like an Excel wiz
- Respond to hotel inquiries with a soft, friendly and helpful attitude
- Manage third party offshore team to assist in the overall process
- Initiate chargeback requests with our credit card company as a last resort effort to recover cash
- Frequently report on overcharge metrics and KPI’s
- Creatively think of methods to proactively reduce overcharge occurrences and work with hotel partner relationship owners to execute strategy
- Optimize. Optimize. Optimize. Building for scale is critical to manage our high growth business
- Assist with other miscellaneous accounting tasks
- 2-4 years relevant Analyst/Ops experience (with background in Accounting/Finance)
- Fine attention to detail and strong data analysis skills (Excel master)
- Comfortable working on a Mac and cloud based solutions
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, think outside the box and challenge the status quo
- Problem solver who can analyze data and find the path of least resistance
- Ability to own overcharge data, report on trends and metrics and evaluate accounting implications of overcharges
- A friendly customer service approach to solidify a positive hotel partner experience and the ability to make judgment calls to address sensitive issues
