Summary
We keep things fresh at Weddington Way. That means the New Business Team’s mission – to strategically expand into new categories that bring delight and value to our customers – is crucial to our company’s overall success. The team is small, which allows it to be nimble, but it has a high impact on our Weddington Way’s growth and reach. We’re looking for a fashion merchandise planner/analyst who uses both sides of their brain: they must be both strategic and analytical with an eye towards detail; and have the ability to use that data to tell a story. Working at WW means getting in on the ground floor of an amazing company, giving you the opportunity to work on strategic initiatives and participate in important brand decisions. This role especially will provide an opportunity to work closely with the leadership team on high-impact initiatives and projects. If you enjoy strategizing, launching, and scaling new business initiatives and category expansions, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities
* Maintain dashboard of KPIs and extract and present actionable implications and recommendations. * Assist in merchandising, planning, inventory management and assortment expansion for key existing and new product categories. * Project work including consumer research, marketing analytics, experiment design and testing to generate insights that will help inform decision making.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business, or other related area. * 2-4 years of relevant work experience (e.g., merchandising, data analysis, management consulting, investment banking, or consumer/retail). * Deep interest in learning about consumer tech/start-up markets. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured, constantly changing start-up environment. * Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convey analytical insights in actionable business terms. * Excellent quantitative and analytical skills. * High attention to detail. * Self-motivated and focused. * Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
