Web Application Developer - Waterworks

Design, develop (code), test, and debug applications. Provide Ready-to-Serve and development support. Maintain, enhance and provide solutions for software applications.

**Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities** * Provides and documents technical design and specifications to meet business and functional requirements. * Develops (code). Implements and maintains tools/applications. * Performs unit testing prior to moving code/configuration to the QA process. * Assists in the development and definition of test plans and scripts for performance, regression and user acceptance test plans. Supports QA activities as required. * Builds and maintains templates, rules, style sheets, workflows, data extractions and imports, interfaces, and object models. * Analyzes applications for compliance with security protocols. * Researches defects and solves for root cause in applications. Researches upgrades, patches and new functionality. * Participates in peer reviews. **Nature and Scope** * Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data. * Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process. * May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel. **Work Environment** * Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. * Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. * Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

**Minimum Qualifications** * Must be eighteen years of age * Must pass the Drug Test * Must pass the Background Check * Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable **Education and Experience** * Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field. This is fast-paced environment where Developers have the support and flexibility to innovate as part of a small development team with big goals. **Preferred Qualifications** * Minimum of 3 years of experience designing & developing the UI for websites and web applications * Solid markup skills utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript * Experience with jQuery, REST, JSON, AJAX * Experience with C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API * Graphic design experience with PhotoShop, GIMP (or similar) * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, TSQL, Store Procedures * Knowledge & understanding of mobile or responsive web design technologies * Strong written and oral communication skills * Desire and willingness to work as part of a distributed, collaborative & innovative team
