Summary
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our IT team in our Canton, MA office. This job is responsible for participating in the full systems life cycle and highly complex designing, implementing and supporting of highly complex applications software. Incumbent ensures that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This is a full time permanent position.
Responsibilities
* Consults and/or leads customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions of the most complex nature. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT (Business Technology Services) strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. * Develops and presents recommendations towards the design and development of application architecture, business systems and IT solutions that are of the most complex nature across the IT organization. * Responsible for recommendations towards the component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. * Consults and/or leads the full systems life cycle and may be responsible for providing accurate estimates, gathering business requirements, designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting applications software at an advanced level that is delivered on time and within budget. * Collaborates effectively with others in a variety of work settings. This involves helping to educate others on their area of work, understanding the issues/concerns of other areas, and working together to solve problems across the IT organization. * Communicates the project status for areas of responsibility effectively across the organization.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience in and a solid understanding of design, development, quality assurance and integration methodologies** * Application architecture and development experience in the following technologies: * C#, .net framework 4.x, Web API 2.0, Entity Framework 6.X, AngularJS, Bootstrap, Javascript, VB.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, Web Services API, HTML, HTML 5, CSS, CSS3, JQuery, Node.js, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, JSON, .NET, Test Driven Development, ASP.NET AJAX, Object Oriented Design, and has worked with Open Source Communities. * Solid understanding of client needs and supplies comprehensive solutions to meet those needs * Basic to mid-level understanding of insurance business **Education and Experience:** * Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field OR equivalent work experience is required. * 5 to 7+ years of related experience.
