Summary
We are looking for a Sr. Developer with strong web user interface skills to build our next generation of highly interactive marketing applications using the latest cutting-edge technologies. If you have proven skills in Web UI implementation with a passion for building great user interfaces we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
**Scope of Activities:** * Develop new, leading edge eCommerce websites * Agile programming on a team of the best in Houston, TX **Characteristics:** * A good fit with the team dynamic. We need someone the team can trust, rely on, hang out with, bounce ideas off of, and generally interact with in a positive way both personally and professionally. * Must be smart, easy to work with and gets things done. * Super talented, in a general way. On any given day, you may be turning a Photoshop into HTML and CSS, tracking down a bug, changing some server side code, mining some data or pitching in on testing. * Specifically talented in a programming way. You can instantly visualize solutions to problems big or small. If you’re this sort of person, you’ll know what I mean. If not then this position may not be for you. * Know the why, not just the how. We know it works, but why does it work? Why did you choose this way? * 5 or more years of industry experience
Ideal Candidate
* Participate in daily stand-up, bi-weekly iteration planning and other as-needed face-to-face, audio- and/or video-teleconferencing sessions. * Be influential in architectural discussions, design decisions and provide input in to all aspects of the system. * Write clean code with good nomenclature, sensible tests and comments when necessary. * Write unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests. * Implement new features and fix bugs in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other technologies for our application. * Become more cross-functional over time so that you can assist in other areas where needed: server-side development, QA testing etc. **Skills:** * Strong web UI development skills using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX * Strong source code repository knowledge as well as branching strategies, nice to know Git. * JavaScript MVVM frameworks such as Knockout * .NET Development (C#, MVC, ASP) **Other nice to have skills:** * Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development, * Microsoft SQL Server * Document Database (RavenDB, Mongo, Couch, etc)
