Responsibilities
- Create high-quality web deliverables, demonstrating your ability to preserve design aesthetics with technical platform capabilities and milestones. - Apply principles of responsive design to websites and applications to create designs that translate seamlessly across device platforms. - Working from static application mockups and wireframes, develop application front-end user interfaces and page templates in HTML, CSS and Javascript - Interface with project managers, application programmers and testing lead to integrate application front-end code into projects, and debug styling and interactive elements across platforms and browsers. - Some travel to client locations for meetings in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. In addition, project specific travel to other states in the Mid-Atlantic region may be required.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and approaches - Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal direction - Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project managers and team members - SASS/SCSS and principles of object oriented CSS development - jQuery - js, React.js or similar frameworks (including data binding, forms validation, DOM manipulation, etc.) - Knowledge of MVC Framework - Knowledge of GIT or similar source control environments - Understanding of Web Standards, Accessibility, and command of Semantic markup - Working knowledge of application development such as ASP.Net, PHP, Ruby on Rails in Agile development teams. - Experience with Advanced JavaScript (including prototype-based inheritance, event delegation, closures, AJAX, JSON) - Experience developing GIS based web applications such as ESRI ArcGIS API, Leaflet, OpenLayers - Undergraduate Degree in Interactive Design, Website development, or related - Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with team members, customers and consulting partners from a broad spectrum of disciplines - 2+ years experience writing HTML5, CSS3, Javascript - 2+ years experience designing interactive media
