Summary
Manage the Human Resources (HR) function for the plant and associated complex locations, including strategic leadership and direction, staffing, employee relations, training, development, salary and benefits administration. Operate at both the strategic and “hands-on” level, and serve as a key business partner and member of the Plant Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for leadership and direction of the HR team. * Identify manpower requirements and staff accordingly. * Provide leadership in recruiting, screening and selection of employees. * Provide HR leadership focusing on Company’s strategic direction, core values and achieving our HR Vision. * Provide consistent, candid, constructive and insightful coaching and guidance to plant leadership and salaried/hourly employees. * Develop creative and research-based solutions for current and projected future business challenges in order to pro-actively lead change processes. * Demonstrate understanding of business processes in order to add measurable value and contributions to financial performance. * Implement and execute employee development strategies (Succession Planning, Individual Development Planning, developmental activities, training, etc.). Devise career tracks for employees who demonstrate the aptitude and desire for upward mobility. * Coordinate and provide leadership training. * Gather and analyze data and recommend processes to reduce turnover, absenteeism and other key HR metrics. * Receive, investigate and address employee relations issues according to policy. * Ensure compliance with employment laws, including but not limited to EEOC, FLSA, ADA and OSHA. * Provide ongoing salary and benefits administration. * Responsible for personnel records management. * Responsible for complete and timely reports of HR metrics (e.g. turnover, absenteeism, etc.). * Handle communication of Company policy and procedure changes. * Ensure ongoing administration and negotiation of current labor agreements. * All other duties and special projects as assigned. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** * Lead 2-5 direct and indirect salaried and hourly reports. * This is a Leader of People position, with required competencies: Planning, Conflict Management, Delegation, Customer Focus and Sizing Up People.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Education And Experience:** * 5+ years relevant HR experience with 3+ years HR supervisory or management experience. * 1+ years relevant experience within a manufacturing environment. **Preferred Education And Experience:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field from an accredited institution. * Bilingual – English/Spanish proficiency. * PHR/SPHR certification **Required Technical Skills:** * Advanced knowledge of and experience with Employment Law. * Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. * Excellent organizational skills, with precise attention to detail. * Demonstrated success and history in building effective teams with a proven ability to lead by engaging and motivating a team and influencing the organization. * Demonstrated experience in strategy development and execution, change management, collaboration, operational excellence, and driving business results. * Capable of working at both the strategic level and “hands on” level. * Highly effective written/verbal and interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with internal and external customers. * Direct and empathetic and persuasive communication style. * Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple priorities. * Excellent organizational skills, with precise attention to detail. * Appropriately operate with frequent access to confidential information. * Maintain and adhere to strict confidentiality standards. * Demonstrated sound work ethic, high degree of personal integrity, honesty and moral character. **Required Problem Solving Skills:** * Understand and interpret data while drawing logical conclusions based on available inputs. * Critical thinking skills in standardized situations as well as non-routine problems. * Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritizes work accordingly.
