We do this by helping developers: * Grow their skills and careers on GitHub * Collaborate and create with other developers across our network * Change the world through Open Source software * And build great things at work, whether they are at a small start-up, a big tech company, or any of the many industries being transformed by software today
Responsibilities
* Drive product, positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy globally directed at individual developers, open source communities, and businesses. * Drive product, positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy globally to help grow our self-serve business via the GitHub website and through other channels. * Develop a deep understanding of GitHub products, source control management, and the broader application lifecycle management ecosystem. * Drive competitive analysis and market research to support this work. * Own product messaging and positioning. Enable internal teams to speak and write effectively about our products. * Oversee product launch activities including internal readiness, beta programs, documentation, and launch-specific product-focused content. * Drive internal product education programs. * Align with the sales department on a product marketing content production calendar. * Ensure strategy translates to execution on product-focused web content. * Oversee the creation of external-facing product-focused content including data sheets, solution briefs, whitepapers, and webinars. * Oversee the creation of internal-facing product-focused content including crib sheets and competitive battle cards.
Ideal Candidate
* 7+ years in consumer and B2B marketing * 2+ years in management roles, where you have built & managed a team * Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization, including managing stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Engineering disciplines * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to inspire change, both internally and externally * Data and results oriented, with a track record of impacting real business metrics
