Summary
The Product Marketing Manager will provide business leadership to existing product lines to ensure their continued success in the market. This leadership will include recommendations for product line growth or reduction as necessary, adaptation resulting from technology changes and sales support as necessary. The Product Manager will also work closely with all functions within the company to achieve the company’s goals and objectives, as well as interface directly with customers. The position reports to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy – Provide input to strategic roadmaps associated with your product lines - Value Proposition & Messaging – Develop product positioning and messaging and communicate the product value propositions to the sales organization. - Sales Training - Creation of sales training material for company’s products to support the needs of the sales organization. - Product Launches - Participate in new product development teams to ensure alignment with current products - Assume responsibility for new products after release - Market Research and Intelligence: - Provide systematic reports covering technology advancements and threats to the current product line - Provide competitive analysis covering comparable products in the market - Product Roadmaps - Work closely with Sr. Product Marketing Manager to maintain current state roadmaps - Provide input to the strategic roadmap as necessary based on landscape changes (competition, technology, customer demand, legislature) - Subject Matter Expert - Become the detailed expert on the products managed. - Travel as needed as Product Expert in a technical support to sales role to achieve planned sales. - Participate on industry panels directly related to relevant technology - Other - Works closely with Business Development, Engineering, Sales, and Senior Leadership to meet and exceed growth objectives.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in a business discipline, engineering or equivalent experience. Advanced degree a bonus. - 5 to 10 years relevant experience with experience in avionics preferred. - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. - Highly organized, driven, results-oriented individual. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - A detailed understanding of technology, the marketing process, and Avionics/Aviation markets. - Ability to develop and effectively communicate strategies and alternatives. - Must have ability to lead teams to maximize results.
