Summary
The Education Product Management (EPM) team manages and ensures the success of our campus education product portfolio, from conception to launch and beyond. The Senior Product Manager, Education will work with the team of PMs who will be building new programs as well as growing the existing portfolio of our campus courses. The Senior Product Manager, Education will be accountable for overall performance of our education products, including fulfilling business requirements, seeking product-market fit, and hitting revenue targets. As a senior member of the EPM team, the Senior Product Manager, Education will also be the guidepost for PM best practices as we continuously improve product management processes within and across teams.
Responsibilities
* Strategy and Operations * Provide high-level strategy for product development and growth; including the development of vision and corresponding 12-month roadmap for our new and existing education programs * Understand intrinsic user needs and market demand to drive towards product-market fit across all of our programs and work closely with cross-functional product development teams to build and improve GA’s portfolio of best-in-class education products * Contribute to setting goals and achieving revenue targets for each program/product line; prioritize product development, updates, optimizations across all products * Work closely and cross-functionally with operations, marketing, admissions team to establish clear business requirements * Take an active role in broad business development initiatives to identify opportunistic product collaborations or contributions * Drive consensus around major decisions using data-driven frameworks, methodologies, and analysis * Communicate regularly with executive stakeholders regarding strategy, progress, and expectations * Bring about a culture of continuous optimization of workflow and processes across GA; know when we should drive process standardization and when we can stay fast-and-loose * Team and General Management * Implement product management and product development best practices to measure and enable team effectiveness and efficiency * Manage and mentor members of the EPM team, including setting goals and development plans for individuals * Maintain organizational and resource balance, including identifying budgeting and hiring needs proactively
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years in product management * Worked in product management with both technical and non-technical capacity * Experience managing a team of 3 or more people * Experience working in global, cross-functional, and/or matrix organizations * Experience with B2C and B2B businesses or revenue-generating products * Excellent stakeholder management skills * Passion for education and empathy for learners * Experience with teaching or edtech a plus * Product marketing experience a plus
