Summary
The Corporate Controller position will be responsible for supporting financial decision making by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing agency financial policies and procedures. Manage general accounting operations for the agency including, but not limited to: the management of budgeting and financial reporting, oversight and maintenance of the centralized accounting system and records, internal controls and risk mitigation, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles reporting standards. This position will also be responsible for cash and risk management.
Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure * Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures * Oversee operations of the accounting department including the agency structure for achieving the goals and objectives of the department * Ensure the accounts payable are paid and accounts receivables are reconciliated in a timely manner * Issue timely and complete financial statements * Work with the Financial Leadership team to achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing discrepancies and initiate corrective actions. * Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings * Assist with compiling information for 3rd party auditors and tax consultants for annual audits and income tax filings.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA being a must * 10 + years of work experience or related class studies of finance and accounting principles * Experience in Marketing Agency environment a plus * Independent worker with strong analysis and computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment * Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion is required
