Responsibilities
* Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. * Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. * Ensure the accuracy of all monthly financial information. * Manage month-close binder including review of balance sheet reconciliations, analytics, controls, etc. * Assist in monitoring and improving internal controls. * Assist/Point of contact for quarterly reviews and financial statement YE audit. * Assist/Point of contact for statutory audits of international subsidiaries. * Review of financial statement consolidation and ensure accuracy of all subsidiaries. * Review/Approve Accounts Payable batches for GL posting. * Review of all month-close general journal entries for posting. * Assist in daily banking/treasury requirements. * Assist with monthly/quarterly reports and analyses to various departments and business units. * Support budget and forecasting activities. * Provide training and career development to new and existing staff of 2-4 people. * Assist in special projects and workflow process improvements.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills** * Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance * Public Accounting experience is required * Strong understanding of accounting theory * CPA required * 5+ years accounting/finance experience **Preferred Skills** * Highly detail oriented and organized in work * Ability to meet assigned deadlines * Ability to be pro-active and a problem solver * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Great Plains experience preferred, but not required * Ability to work independently to accomplish objectives * Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications * Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
