CINC provides a CRM platform and related tools for top-performing residential real estate agent teams to manage leads resulting in more closings. Additionally, CINC provides digital advertising services to drive leads to its clients’ websites. CINC sells its services on a month-to-month subscription basis.
Summary
The controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of CINC, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsibilities
**Financial Reporting** * Lead relationship with FNF accounting team to develop and maintain appropriate chart of accounts and periodic financial reports * Prepare all monthly financial reports * Work with other team members to compile and report on KPI’s * Prepare analysis and reporting of monthly financial and operational results * Ensure transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger * Work with FNF accounting team to prepare month-end account reconciliations * Work with FNF accounting team to streamline the month-end closing process * Coordinate all audit requests from FNF and/or its auditors * Work with internal IT team and others to obtain necessary data from internal systems * Work with CINC leadership team to produce the annual budget and forecasts * Maintaining client, platform, and churn analyses **Internal Controls and Accounts Payable** * Work with FNF personnel to develop and maintain proper internal controls as we transition from a small entrepreneurial company to being part of a Fortune 300 company * Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures * Work with part-time accounts payable assistant to transition accounts payable processing to FNF * Ensure W-9’s are obtained for all vendors * Work with part-time accounts payable assistant to ensure adequate tracking of vendor invoices throughout the purchase-to-payment process * Maintain an orderly accounting filing system **Taxes and Other** * Work with FNF tax team, billing team, and IT to implement billing and collecting of sales taxes * Assist FNF tax team to ensure all sales and income tax returns are filed in appropriate jurisdictions and assist in preparation of any VDA’s * Assist in review and integration of any acquisitions * Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience * Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations * Experience at a small, entrepreneurial company that has been acquired by a large public company * Experience managing entire financial process to include: financial planning and strategy, managing profitability, strategic planning, vision, quality management, promoting process improvement, forecasting, and developing budgets * Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions * Experience preparing financial statements rather than just reviewing * Experience with SaaS and/or software businesses * Experience with Oracle * Experience with Cognos * MS Excel Super User and good experience with other MS Office applications * General knowledge of accounting systems and databases * “Roll up your sleeves and get it done” attitude * Experience in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
