Summary
In the role of Senior Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for timely and accurate execution of the Company’s general accounting activities and month-end close related responsibilities. The Senior Accountant will collaborate daily with various functions across the organization to ensure all financial reporting objectives are achieved. This individual will also play a critical role in the development of efficient and scalable processes that will enable the Finance and Accounting team to keep pace with Fluxx’s poised growth.
Responsibilities
* Lead the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations * Prepare, review and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statement variances and transactions * Review and analyze activities related to sales, customer contracts, revenue recognition, payroll, tax and accounts payable for proper recording of transactions within general ledger * Assist in implementation, adherence and maintenance to internal controls * Ensure compliance to internal policies and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP * Participate in the development and implementation of process-related improvements in all Finance and Accounting related areas * Assist in the preparation of schedules for external auditors during annual reviews and audits * Ad hoc reporting and special projects as-needed
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, system savvy team player with strong general ledger and overall accounting experience. You will have a proven ability to adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes. * Minimum of 4 years accounting experience with some public accounting and/or software industry-specific background preferred * Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting * CPA a plus (or working towards a CPA) * Experience with Intacct preferred * Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks with minimal oversight * Highly organized with great attention to detail * Superior Excel skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
